Hi team!
I thought id opens the question up to the forum - does anyone have any BIN files for the DSG ?
I’d especially like to see the 335is and 135is as well as the M ones ... i dont discriminate. :)

@RayBan could probably cook something up, in fact it may follow a similar process of entering that diagnostic mode.

I don't know the way it works for transmissions. But usually these control modules have a programming mode which must be entered to do certain functions. There is a handshake process that must be completed before it can be done. I'm not sure if reading the bin out requires this mode or not.

As far as I know right now all we have are ZB files, no BIN's. We need something like xHP to pull raw BIN's. Magic Motorsport makes a device that can pull the BIN from our Getrag, but I haven't heard back from them. I'm trying to find a shop that is local to me that has purchased their device so I can verify it pulls an encrypted, uncompressed BIN.

I guess my consumer based email from a gmail address doesn't carry enough weight for the Magic sales team to respond to.

The closest thing I've been able to do on the DCT as far as coding goes is to be able to reset adaptations via INPA by adding the DKG_90 module into the INPA menu. Maybe this DKG_90.prg file has a hint to the .BIN files?

Yes it’s the definitions and scaling file(I only have a rudimentary understanding of it please don’t quote me lol)
Can you write up a guide or basic instructions on how you did this though ? I’m curious

First of all make sure that you have an updated DATEN Files, in my case I was able to find the v60.2.
(Check this post and ask Wedge to PM you the zip file: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...170793&page=26)

Now, once you have the SP Daten files updated you need to go to the INPA.ini menu located at (EC-APPS\INPA\CFGDAT) and go all the way down and paste this:
[EXTRA]
SCRIPTS = *
SCRIPTWECHSEL=DKG_90,D_EGS
Also update the E87 menu directly at the (EC-APPS\INPA\CFGDAT) directory and select the file: E87.ENG (if it is set to English language, or E87.GER if it's in german of course).
Then look for the Gearbox menu and include the DKG_90 line:

Code:
[ROOT_GETRIEBE]
DESCRIPTION=Transmission
ENTRY= GS19,Gearbox Control Module GS19,
ENTRY= DKG_90, DKG (Dual Clutch Transmission),
After this, save the files, go reopen INPA and the DKG Transmission menu should be there.

Hope this helps, please feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
