Hey guys had another 335d arrive for a stage 2+ with our tune. The Stage 2+ is easily the most popular tune and package we carry for both 335d and X5d's.

If anyone is interested in more information feel free to contact us at (919) 501-2090 or email [email protected] or check out our online webstore at https://bimmerperformancecenter.com/collections/bpc-diesel-collection

Phil, are you guys able to get a M57 running, and running properly with no dash lights, without an automatic transmission?

I've had a plan for a long time to swap a M57 into an e92 coupe with a 6MT. I've got the tools/skills/resources to do it, just haven't started because I'm afraid I won't get the electronics to cooperate.

They never made any manual 335d's did they? Interesting idea.

So far we have not attempted this feat yet. One of the reasons BMW didn't go with a manual from the factory is that it wouldn't be able to hold up to the stresses from the diesel output for long periods of time... aka wouldn't last before the warranty was up.

We were successful in performing an automatic to manual N52 swap. I think we were one of the first ones to be able to do so. The electronic side is what scares most away from it. Part of making it all work is rewriting some of the VO code so that the vehicle knows its a manual and no longer an automatic. Unfortunately gone are the days when you could just swap modules and harnesses and voila instant swap.
