Any advantage to going bottom mount single turbo?

I see that there are some vendors who offer bottom mount turbo systems. I guess that's a little confusing to me because I thought the advantage of having a top mount by going single was that you have the turbo right there should the need arise to replace it or have it rebuilt. Why would vendors offer bottom mount systems?

Is it significantly cooler to run a bottom mount? I've never seen one before so is it still easy to reach the turbo?

I bought a bottom mount kit. Our engine bay is just too small for my personal liking to jam it in there up top. I'd rather not heat cycle a bunch of parts and chance having them wear out or become brittle over time. It is not a spacious situation even when installed properly, things are mighty close to other parts of the car for my personal taste. The easy replacement part is a little over rated to me, if anything it's biggest plus is bling factor and I think everyone knows that's the main reason they do it. If you couldn't see the turbo, with all other things equal, they would leave it on the bottom. Also, some people have stricter emissions laws and a bottom mount kit would make it easier to pass visual inspections, other people prefer a more stock or sleeper look.

It's mostly to not melt your valve cover or anything else BMW ran up top (wires, etc.)

Likely have better air flow passage to your turbo from a well positioned bumper mounted shroud with a bottom mount.
