Going from PS2 to full frame...school me

So I drive a 14 F32 with an N55. It has a pure drivetrain solutions transmission and torque converter and a bunch of other parts

Hellcat LPFP
Dorch Stage 2 HPFP
VRSF catless DP
PS2 turbo
ER Race Intercooler
AFE Intake
Custom 3" exhaust
BM3 stage 2+
XHp stage 2
BM3 ethanol kit

The car slays. Rarely do I come across another car that can get me. But I want more. Time to stress this transmission with a full frame turbo.

My car is EWG and I'd like to keep it that way. Currently there is a big boost kit on ebay, used, the turbo, manifold, and a few boost pipes. The downpipe and coolant pipe are missing. He has agreed to a price that is less than what I payed for the PS2. But I'll need some custom fabrication here...and honestly I'd much rather have a top mount setup

This is where I am lost. All the top mounts, are external wastegate, pneumatic. I have zero experience in this. I am away I can turn off the EWG in boostmod. But am unsure how boost gets managed then. I see MAC solenoids. But what controls the mac?

This all seems so hodgepodge thrown together when I can just install the bottom mount big boost with the EWG.

So I'm looking for opinions. Should I spend 2x the money and get a speedtech top mount? It'll look hella sexier, but then I'll be dealing with pneumatic wastegate BS.

School me!

Look into the 4n motorsport kit. It's a tubular manifold bottom mount with an internally gated BW EFR turbo. They're most popular for s55, but they also do n55 kits. They'd include all the parts you need to use your electronic wastegate actuator to control the turbo. Good luck, and please keep us posted with which direction you end up takingšŸ‘

The 4N kit is a lot of money. I know, gotta pay to play. Where as the SpeedTech is 4300, and the used bigboost the guy is willing to accept 1800. I'm not sure I'm into it enough for the 4n kit to be totally honest.

Not trying to put you off but the turbo cost is cheap..be prepared to spend loads more cash on other mods required to support a big bump in power,,, reliably.
Ps2 with basic mods is a happy place if you haven't got money to play with.

I know what you're saying but THAT turbo setup cost 33% more than the next setup. I was just offered a speedtech kit, top mount, minus the turbo for 1300. That seems like the best route so far with whats available to me.

I bought the big boost kit. Guy went back out to the carcass and found the coolant manifold. So it's only missing the downpipe which is a-ok with me.
