seems I found the right place for developer info about BMW HUs. Recently I bought a CIC for my E88 in the hope to be able to listen to DAB+ radio stations. It turned out the unit does not support DAB+ but rather the outdated DAB standard. I digged into this and I believe the reason is the outdated firmware of the Atmel baseband chip (ATR2740). I would like to develop device drivers like dev-spi or dev-i2c which can enable reading and writing flash chips and eeproms, and maybe some day I can upgrade the tuner fw and enjoy DAB+ . My hope is to find the right resources in this forum.
