easily put the valve between any connection under the car, like between an external filter and the hose connection with an adapter.

It has no issues and doesn't restrict any flow what so ever like the 525 pump due to the design limitations.

Does anyone else have any more info on the 535 pump. Wanting to run a single 535 instead of a 450 but I want to keep my ekpm3. Or can point me to a link of some testing results
I've been running the 535 for a number of months now no issues with the ekp3

you guys are confused here, he is referring to the e60 535i pump

also its 525 walbro not 535

Yeah I am confused I re read his post and he mentions 535 with out mentioning 535i in that post he was asking about check valve? I bought a GENUINE WALBRO/TI F90000295 535LPH High Performance E85 Fuel Pump and put a picture just to help out because i added a Quantum Inline or Intank High-Flow Viton Fuel Pump Check Valve 8mm (5/16") at end works great also on ekp3
Is there a better 535i pump 525 i am missing ?? i thought 5252 had restrictive check valve in it??

Nope you have it correct, I was talking about the 295 535 LPH pump not an e60 535i pump. Martymill already answered all my questions tho

Waiting on parts at the moment.

Chris
Super excited to see what you find. I've got a 535i with pure stage 2, fbo, and I've been reliably running ~e35 mix. I've gone up to e50 but my lpfp drops to about 55 psi at high rpms. Ive been looking into running the wb 525, but the current draw is significantly higher than the 450 (of course you don't get that extra flow for free)... Just wondering how I can do this safely without dropping $1000. Apparently she folks have run a solid state relay in conjunction with pwm output but that sounds like it would put an insanely high cycle count on those ssr very quickly..

I can see the title is a bit confusing but yes this thread is originally for building a LPFP solution for the E6X platform aka 535i - E60 and E61. Taking a look at the very first post @PFS talks directly about the "E6X N54 5 Series BMWs" and building a cost effecting solution for this series possibly using the"F90000295 that flows 535LPH".

Although still good topics to discus - I will be buying a two F90000295 and trying to DIY it into the stock bucket on my E61s. One of the cars has an original FuelIt 450 kit that needs an update while the other I will be replacing the stock pump as a DIY project. I have a EKPM3 and use Protools in order to clean the Fuelpump Error.

If you want a diy, a 340 is 39mm, and can utilize the stock screen setup. A stock pump for the e60, are around 180-190 lph. FYI, both the n52 and n54 both use the same ekp, since they run the same bucket.

Isn't this clearly incorrect as he has been describing the stock pump as being so close to a walbro 450 that its not worth upgrading?

I guess so if your keeping the power low, and want to take that chance. This pump is a 190lph pump, may be less from what ive read. The m5 pump runs 2 200lph pumps, may be a bit lower, in the same bucket and that’s a 500 hp na car. As you know, you, needs lots of fuel for lots of hp. I’m willing to bet, that a stage 2 turbo car, is going to need a lot more fuel than a 190 pump.

Im so confused.

from what you read Where? Has anyone else tested it on bench like this?

did you read The data posted in this thread? it’s not a 190 pump

its clear anything ‘known’ about the factory pump was incorrect until now

Chris this is all great work, and gives me an excuse to drag my feet upgrading my LPFP. There seem to be a few more benefits to E6x ownership than responsible previous owners.

Love the approach, looking forward to watching this progress and seeing the end result.

I searched the pump numbers, and done my homework. I’m no mechanical engineer, but I know what I read. The dual pumps in a m5 bucket are 190-200 lph each. The standard e60 pumps are lower than that, and are the same ones they run on the v8 cars. There is some good information on In tank pumps, with all the performance pumps that were tested, not one stock pump made the cut for higher hp. I’ll ge pictures of both pumps, you can google the information.

Don’t forget to, this pump has no filter or bucket, and being tested with a -6 hose. I don’t know what the e90 has for fuel hose, but on the e60, it’s 5/16 or 8mm. The rubber whip hose from the hard line to the hpfp is also 5/16 or 8mm. I’d like to know what the a 335 pump will push on the same test.

Already have a M5 bucket assembly on the way, very easy DIY throwing two pumps in the stock location seeing as though it was made like that from the factory.

One will be a F90000295 - 535LPH as the main and a 450 on Hobbs - debating just running dual F90000295 - 535LPH.
