Your stock turbo cannot maintain 20psi of boost above 6200rpms, what are you talking about.

As my comment was about the late spool I would assume that he is saying his stock turbos spooled slow at 175k.

What's up with all the timing corrections? Need some new plugs?

Me ? I'm running stock plugs, i had misfires on the exact same tune with M4 plugs, i might try again with the 5992 plugs.

Yeah...

Before the gear shift you hit -6, -3.3, 0, 0, -9, 0 and then after the shift -10, -4.3- 0, -3.3, -9.7, 0. Those seem like some serious timing corrections to me. I'm not an expert at reading logs andI know you don't have to have it 100% clean with no corrections and cylinder 5 is the noisiest but I would want to get those corrections cleaned up immediately if it were me.

Cyl5 is unfixable, always had corrections, as for the others, hopefuly it will be fixed with the new plugs.

What is the weird Timing Bump @ 5k RPM? No Correction or Limiter active.
Also is the tapering of Boost intended so you stay around 650hp?

Hum no it's not intended, load req is at 215 all the way.
No idea about the timing bump.

I think your tune is not done yet. Probably a mistake in the timing table and PID not setup 100% in the upper rev range.

I don't know about PID, but there is no mistake in the timing table. It doesnt happen on normal road logs.

i had this on a friends car. Boost just was not holding up until i changed PID. I am just giving my opinion. If you are happy it is completely okay. I just see room for improvement.

I'm not saying you're not right, just saying i don't know if PID is finalized or not.

I'm back driving my car. N53 head/800s lunched my walbro 450, but the 535 is holding strong fueling wise. I think I need new injectors, trims are off and I have a lot more exhaust detonation than I want. Still have to install new O2 sensors and I'm thinking I will replace the fuel pump sensors too, just to be complete.

Saw what looks like throttle closure and overboost on my most recent log. Not entirely pleasant to drive yet.

Xclutch twin disk is great driving in gears 2-6, but still a BITCH to get out of the hole in 1st at 600 miles. Figure it's still breaking in. Fair amount of chatter getting into 1st and Reverse as well. Otherwise really minimal NVH especially for a twin.

Also need to address flex pipe in my exhaust and a drone pipe. I'm going deaf. Debating throwing a high flow cat in as well. Dunno.

Hey guys,
Since the interest around these turbos is growing, it was about time i'd share my experience with them so far, but first a brief intro:

My car is a 2010 E82 135i 6MT with 100,700km on the clock, and has undergone a 1M conversion.

Short mod list is:
@Hydra Performance HP800 Turbos (installed at 71 000km)
Inlets and Outlets
Phoenix 7.5 IC with 3" lower charge pipe
Stock plugs, Delphi GN10571 coils (metal shielded)
Supersprint Race 1M exhaust
VTT Single barrel
Walbro 450 LPFP
Low and High side external PCV with catch cans.

Tuned by @V8bait, running 21psi and E85. No need for more because power > traction

The list goes on but it should be enough to give context.

Long story short, i love these turbos! I had other upgraded turbos on the car before I installed these, from a popular brand i'd rather not name here, but they had ultra bad spool and failed in very short order. Then along came Omar @ Hydra Performance and convinced me to give his babies a try, despite them not being a popular or mainstream choice at the time. I bit the bullet, and here I am, almost two years later! View attachment 39521

After much pestering from my friends, I finally bought a dragy last week. The results surprised even myself, so I figured I'd share them on SS.

Run below was done in 4th only, because no traction in 3rd....

@Traf, do you have any other mods that contribute to fast spool aside from the inlet/outlets and exhaust? It's crazy that you are seeing that much torque at 3000 rpm on the 800's.

What inlets do you run?
What downpipes do you run?

Very impressive, and love the note of the Supersprint. šŸ¤˜
