I just bought the vinyl stuff, but having the actual trim would be awesome!

What do you mean by that? peeling off? And did you get the gloss or matte?

It's a noticeable discoloration in the trim, I believe shadow line trim was only a gloss black out of factory; the "rainbow" effect refers to this odd lightening of the trim when light hits it.

Sorry, I didn't realize you said you have the actual OEM shadow line trim.

Yeah, I've tried polishing but it didn't work out too great, maybe a cutting compound might but this seems to be a rather prevalent issue for plenty of owners.

That makes me feel like the vinyl was a better decision afterall. Have you looked into that at all?

Nope, but not a bad idea. Just a gloss black 3M Im assuming ?

Exactly. If you click the link I posted you can buy rolls the right lengths. Probably cheaper to find it yourself though.

You won't even be a poser if you've got real shadow line underneath.
