Will it fit?

I essentially totalled my E60 due to some questionable decision making... I was wondering if an M5 front subframe would bolt up to a basic E60 5-series? 525i RWD to be exact 😉 The only reason I am considering this is because the whole front suspension needs replaced, including subframe. I found one with everything, it even comes with a steering rack. It would be cool to sharpen the steering up a bit.

Basically I just wanna know the front subframe from an M5 will bolt up to my lowly 525i RWD to get my car back on the road? Any help is appreciated!

Pull up parts diagrams on both cars and compare to be certain.

I have seen e60 M5 suspension on e60 non M5 cars. Not certain about the subframe though. I know there are slight differences in some things between e60 cars.

When I smashed the front end of my N54 e60 I got some front clip components, upper radiator mount, bumper mount and the whole radiator assembly thing off an Xi car and it looked the same.... but definitely did not fit the same. I was able to make it work though.

I know xi has steel suspension up front and almost everything is different although they do look the same. I'm pretty sure the control arms, etc. are the same on the rwd and M models. I'll have to check out some parts/diagrams to be sure. Thanks
