I am looking to go for 700+whp. Has it been done yet for the f series n55? Which turbo is the best route? and What else do you have to upgrade besides pistons and rods?

thanks

I think the better route is to start with an M4 pure stage 2 S55. otherwise If we have like 3 choices for N55 speedtech, bigboost, docrace. I'd choose speedtech for simplicity and spool.

^what he said. Then you'll just need a ton of supplemental fuel. Motor probably won't hold together all that long. Not to mention the driveline and trans.

Honest question: how much money are you ready to spend? Like really drop hard cash?

Getting to 700whp is nice and all but you also are going to want to be able to put that power down.

It is not as simple as I want xxxwhp.

This feels like a $10-$15k project ?

Yeah. Easily. Especially if you don't turn your own wrenches.

Even small things add up. Like decent rims and decent tires is just under 4k. Example bbs chrs + michilen pss + mount/balance + alignment + shipping and tax etc.

Let alone a suspension that can really handle 700whp correctly. All the upgraded arms, bushings, quality coilovers not the 1400 stuff, a quality differential, corner balanced and set up by a shop that knows what they are doing, the list goes on.

With wheels and tires I’m into my car a little over $16k above what I paid for the car itself. My setup would be right in your power goal. I just started a forged short block build and built trans. Add in the trans and engine build and you’re pushing $25k. At that power level you’ll eventually need transmission work of some kind and forged rods/pistons down the road.
