I grew up in eastern Oregon. Moved around Idaho/Washington before I moved here to Arizona. Been here since 2004. I know there are several members from washington/Idaho.

Well, I live in the desert, so it barely rains and obviously we never have any rust issues or black ice or nasty weather. Occasionally there is hail, that is about the worst it gets besides the 'flooding' from the monsoons which overwhelm the inadequate drainage systems. This can lead to idiots hydro-locking their cars by attempting to go into underpasses.

The downside, is the air is hot, IAT's are really high (115-118 ambient temps in the shade consistently every summer) and we get crappy ACN91 gasoline. For those unaware, ACN(Arizona California Nevada)91 is a special blend of (R+M)/2 fuel which has a different distribution of octane between the Research and Motor portions of fuel. It calculates out to 91, but does not retain the knock resistance of fuel anywhere else.

I once changed a tire on my 2005 330i in a safeway parking lot. I jacked the asphalt into the ground about four inches before my car began to rise off the ground.

I'm not a huge fan of the rain, but man I hate the heat. I would literally melt. Lol

Its not so bad but it requires a lifestyle change if you're an outdoorsman. Think of getting out of the bed and shower, and its nice and warm. Never flicking mud onto the back of your shirt like when you walk in the rain. Can wear white shoes. Everything is air conditioned. Can wear summer clothes essentially year round. Pool parties and BBQs constantly! There are a lot of small things that add up :)

Then again, there is Flagstaff Arizona, a few hours north. Its known as one of the coldest places in the US. We have two of the extremes in this state.

I never understood how you all enjoy your cars in really packed places like LA or NY. The roads are fucking awful, how do you not bend wheels constsntly?

The roads in the Phoenix valley are super wide always smooth and we'll maintained. Even the surface streets are roomy and its all straight aways. Can't imagine having to deal with some of the road conditions I've seen in parts of cali and new York on a daily basis. I'd blow my suspension out

I live in the state of New York. Haha.... Upstate about an hour and a half north of New York City. It's so funny to me when you say New York everyone inventory thinks New York City.

But yes definitely in the city...New York City roads are horrible

Yes I meant nyc. I've been there a few times. My first time I picked up a rental car with 71 miles. Returned it with over 1000. Driving back and forth between Brooklyn and Jersey every day and running around for over a week. Not a great experience as a first time driver there lol. the roads are skinny and shitty.

San Antonio, Texas here. Born in Cali and raised in Hawaii and Florida but I have been here since the late 90's. Miss the beach but love the weather here. But my family is all in NYC, upstate NY and Jersey and I have also lived in VA Beach, Detroit, Albany GA, and NY.
