Water pump only turns on when removing 50A fuse and replacing

So I bought an 07 335xi with this problem. The water pump had been recently replaced but only kicks on when removing the 50A fuse from the box under the hood and reinstalling. This is after the car is started. I've checked all the wiring and the other fuses in the cabin. The only code I'm getting is 2E7C BSD bus communication fault which I'm not sure is related or is just being tripped from the fuse trick. The car runs great otherwise but popping the hood to remove and replace the fuse is certainly annoying and not a long term solution. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

BSD has failed you will need the find the break in the purple wire that runs from the IBS>waterpump>oil level/condition sensor>voltage regulator on the alternator. Or the DME is fault this is a pretty common failure on MSD80 DMEs common cause is lose grouding wires for the coils on the valve cover and arc and damage the BSD. However more common wiring damage I find it most where the wire to the oil level sensor is damaged. A few times I had to remove the corragated tubing to even see it since it looked mint externally

Do a continuity test from each device and when you lose it thats where the break is. Hope it helps.

This makes sense. I'll be trying to run it down over the weekend. I'm thinking the way it's kicking on with the fuse may be a grounding issue but I'll check everything.
