VTT S55 GC 93 OTS Tune Results 545WHP/569WTQ

Happy New year everyone. As promised some more testing on the S55 GC's. Tony did a couple pulls on BM3 Stage 2 93 OTS. The log is showing 22 psi, and 9 degrees of timing. The results are damn impressive. 545WHP/569WTQ! We overlaid it with our baseline on stock turbos, BMS intakes, and VTT silicone charge pipes as the only mods, vs now VTT GC turbos, DP's, BMS intakes, and VTT Silicone charge pipes. Keep in mind this is an OTS tune, right out of the box. Basically 550WHP/570WTQ with the turbos damn near hitting stock spool... Welcome to 2019 everyone, no need to overpay for S55 turbo upgrades, or pay core charges any longer. As the name implies Game Changers for the S55 turbo upgrade platform.

We tried to run Stage 2 93H but car is still on stock plugs with too many miles on them, and the car was misfiring. Later this week we will swap them out, and retest on the H tunes. After that we'll move over to E30, then have Cary build us a custom 93 tune, and E30 tune.

There is a LOT more in these turbos, but a huge take away here is 400WTQ by 2800-2900RPM on an OTS Pump gas tune. For comparison that is 400-700RPM faster than we have seen from other turbo upgrades on 93 Octane on the market including ball bearing units. With a custom 93OCT tune, 600+WHP/WTQ should be piece of cake.

VTT Results update: Swapped plugs and reran the 93OCT stage 2H. 576WHP/611WTQ, slight misfire uptop which is why power fell off. No joke for an OTS tune... Whenever Cary Jordan gets some time he can take a look at the log, and cook us up a custom 93 tune. Then we can move on to E30...

I know for the longest time STD was the de facto correction factor for the BMW crowd, but it's not available any longer. Is there a reason for using uncorrected numbers here rather than SAE? Can you post a sheet of the comparison with them both using SAE? January to April could have some good temperature/baro swings. Numbers are impressive though - the newer BMWs seem so easy to make power it's not funny.
