The sensor is shorted out somewhere. I need to take my bumper off and trace the wiring back. Hasn't bothered me too much because this is a weekend car.

Is there any data out there showing if it affects your engine performance or not? I know it will affect the HVAC system but not sure if the car pulls data from it to adjust fuel based on outside temperature. If it does, Id rectify that first and see if it makes any changes to your 02 readings :)

I just ordered a new sensor and will dig into it. I've been told it doesn't have any effect on performance because that's what the TMAP and IAT sensors are for.

I do think the rad fan will work overtime if the the sensor is reading high temp at all time. Not sure about the rest of the coolant system.
