Honestly he didn't pull that hard on the Vette. The viper had the jump, the old man in the Corvette probably just has 3 second reaction times. Once he counted to 3 and floored it it actually hung with the Viper. With a decent driver the two would've been fairly close. Which should make the Viper owner reconsider whoever built his car for him. A twin turbo 8.something liter shouldn't have a problem handling a 6.2L with an inefficient blower on it.

I didn't notice it when I watched the video last night but you're right. It would be very close with a better driver in the Vette.
