“How much did it cost to go single turbo?” I get asked this question all the time, so I made a video that answers it. Every penny I spent and a parts list of EVERYTHING you need!

Yes, it's kinda long. But you can watch at 2x speed if you click the video settings gear icon.

Some ppl prefer not to think about how much they've spent on mods. Hahaha. It's a fucking money pit.

I don't think anyone likes seeing how much they're spending, myself included lol.

But at the same time, I like being on top of my finances and sharing valuable information with other enthusiasts that might find it useful. Figured it's the least I can do with this first-hand experience.

Let's not forget to add the fact most of us buy a certain kit, decide we don't like it, sell it and buy a different one. Taking a loss on both sides. I'm in this current process :joycat:

Been there, done that with the MMP S3's LOL!
Unfortunately I was a early buyer on a certain kit a couple years back. I won't go into detail, but nothing fit properly. I literally had to beat the sh!t out of everything for it to, and my turbo still just slightly touches my hood once fully closed etc. Was fine with it up until recently I had the chance to pick up something much, much better and did. In tear down process currently of this old... junk.

I am in the middle of this right now. Doc race 6466 with all the proper trimmings plus cam ledge bearings. Shop starts the install and compression on cyl 6 is low. Injector hole is ovaled from reusing couplers during last injector install. Stupid mistake, my fault, and new head is on the way. :rage:

I am going to add all this up immediately after a few good pulls to keep myself from losing it.

I stopped updating mine, there is no point anymore. I've spent far more on mods than my car itself. By now, I've spend several thousand dollars on complete waste. A lot of it was lost by trying to experiment or be a pioneer and be a perfectionist. Keeping things factory fit and clean is even more expensive.

No doubt. I've got way more than I'd like in oem engine bits from other cars to keep my bay looking as stock as possible to the untrained eye.

If you like and enjoy the car, there's nothing to be depressed about. A good modded 335 can take down a guy in a lambo who spent over 200k. It's a lot easier not to be depressed about the money you spent thinking in that sense.
