Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on either brand. If so what is your experience, how much boost are you running on what turbo or turbos and what you are revving it out to. Since my darton sleeved block is performing quite well I wanna build the head so I can safely rev to 8k rpm and probably 8500 when I go to a haltech. Have 6 bolt cams currently in the head not sure if im interested in spending 1600 on cams.

I am leaning towards supertech as well since they come with single groove keepers and ferrea are triple grooves. What is your turbo setup currently? Just your head is built ?

Loving the maxxecu, other than having to do my own harness… lol. Obviously the capabilities of standalone, easy to use, options and consistency really great standalone.

What size injectors are you running 1 set or 2 sets? That's the reason I haven't gone to a standalone yet is because I'm not to keen on making my own harness

I think there is a company making pnp connector harness now for N54 in the uk.

I run 2200 cc Bosch but they are straight garbage, going be switching to FID 1600. Bosch work but the plug easily and I immediately see the egts change. Dont want risk the motor.

Maxxecu Lithuania are selling plug and play sets. I'm about to pull the trigger to order a set. I just hope they will support the F8X DCT soon.

Thank you for that information man appreciate it alot may weigh my options between haltech and maxxecu. I have a local haltech dealer who im not to bad of friends with but if the maxxecu interface is simple enough im sure i can take over the tuning responsibilities

Website will be online soon.

Plans for my build E91 are:

Ported head N54 with DI delete
Hi lift cams
Supertech valve train
DCT swapped
DOC Race manifold with 6466
So bummed that the states didn't get the e91. Sounds like you'll have one fast wagon. What will you be using to control the dct? I've pondered the idea of using a dct in my e90 since the e93 I have won't be getting the standalone and I wanna keep it manual

Also the way max interfaces with Can its awesome. Cluster, cruise control, A/C, traction control all of it works. Nothing more satisfying than all the lights off in the cluster lol

So you are using the stock cluster then? That is an attractive feature to have since if I was gonna go haltech I was gonna do the haltech dash as well. I deleted ac in my car since in Minnesota it doesn't get that hot

Yes but I also have a tablet with MDash. My car is not daily but I daily it cause I love driving it, having it work like factory even with all thats been done to it is a huge plus for me. DTC button work but maxx controls it/ check engine line work but maxx controls it/ their is number of safeties you can control. For the price is crazy to be honest.

About how long have you been running it? Do you tune the car yourself ? Also what transmission are you using?

To be honest I'm still in doubt what route to take.

M4 DCT with GCU controller and Maxxecu?

N54 DCT with the MaxxEcu and struggling with final gear ratio as I have a 3.85 diff aside.

M4 DCT with GCU controller and stock DME with Reflex+

Problem is that I buy a lot off stuff to make decisions even harder....

Yeah 3.85 is way to high for a dct in my opinion unless its a strict drag race car. Both dcts are really strong and with clutches and a basket should take all the power. On a forged engine stock dme is a bit of a limitation in my opinion
