I am trying to find out what springs the manual e92 335i uses. I am trying to go back to stock and I bought a pair that were off an Auto (D3/D7). Supposedly auto uses D3/D7 springs and manual should be D2/D6 can someone verify? Anyone know exactly what springs the manual version uses compared to auto? Or what will happen if I run D3/D7 instead of D2/D6?

Not really sure mine was a automatic at one time it’s a manual now. But I believe the springs/shocks struts were dependent on the build sheet. You can get your build sheet for your particular car from some bmw Vin decoding web sites I can’t think of the one but maybe someone can provide that?.?. Good luck

Try typing your VIN into www.realoem.com and see if it tells you anything.
It doesn't that's why I'm asking. The coil spring is greyed out with no part number on every suspension diagram.

Ah, I see. Yea, I put in my VIN and have the same issue. There is a post somewhere on e90 post that I've come across before that lists the springs by model and their spring rates but can't seem to find it quickly. Try browsing ebay. Sometimes those sellers that part out the cars full time list in the details what specific car the springs came off of. If you can find a few different sellers that list an e92 335i manual, and the pictures show the same spring code among them, then that might give you an idea.
