Little back story:
I have a 2010 135i and i DCT swapped it. Car makes over 800 whp so i opted for SSP-specr clutches. i got them hot at a half mile event (even with my 7x11 inch aftermarket cooler) and ever since they they slipped on anything more than 26 psi(6766). Relearned the clutches and put new fluid. still nothing. Took tranny out saw that the clutches were brown and sent them to kris to see what was up. he said they were 60% worn and that they held 800 ft lbs when he tested them so he sent them back saying they are good to go(worn 60% over 4k miles is pretty bad). He shimmed them up and sent them back. Installed them with new tranny filters and the clutch would not adapt saying they are out of tolerance. Clutches worked for a few weeks until i went out again to a half mile event and after turning it upwards of 30 psi they just all out slipped from then on. Im trying to see why this is happening. maybe faulty clutch pack? i sworn it had to do with the jb4 but terry said it doesnt interfere with line pressure at all. Im custom tuned BEF by @pure_evil_tuning (very familiar with DCT cars) on INA0S with line pressure maxxed out and torque tables adjusted. any pointers at this point are really appreciated. im so tempted to throw the DCT out and go twin disc lol.

Yours is a rare use case in the n54/55 world. It’s not often we see DCT cars with big singles but it’s becoming more common. The box and clutches have been seen to handle much more than the spec you have but in f10 form and mostly it hinges around reported torque from the DME

Some questions so those more knowledgeable (not me :) can help..

Do you have any logs?
Have you tried running without JB4 and if so what happens?
What’s the maximum reported torque you are seeing reported by your DME ?
Are you using the recommended fluid ?
Have you filled it and adapted using the spec’d method ?
Did SSP or pure-evil make any other recommendations ?

Yes i have a log of it slipping. i will attach here.
If i get rid of the jb4 i cannot utilize my port injection or boost controllee as my jb4 only conteols those two. and if i run it without jb4 it doesnt run right. i want to check line pressure on higher boost but cannot. ive dont it on map 0 which is wastegate and it was around 17-18 bar.
torque should be found in the log unless unavailable
i was using pentosin ffl4. still slipped. im running 3100 DCT fluid now.
i have filled it multiple times, even raked the car forward and went thru the gears. did oil bleed procedure.
SSP told me to get rid of the JB4. Jason at pure evil sent me a new revised torque table map but right before flashing i blew my engine up. lol

Can you upload the log here: https://datalogs.spoolstreet.com and then copy the BB code back into a reply here.
sounds good. here it is

Maybe @Terry@BMS can chime in on what we're seeing here

Excuse my ignorance but is that 530nm that is passed on to the TCU or just some calculated figure in the Jb4? And if you wanted to use a Jb4 and log the actual reported torque, how would one do that?

thats what im confused on aswell. i know mhd shows accurate reported torque. in the end if the jb4 if causing all of this i might ditch it but im hesitant because i use it for my port injection and its really doing a good job with that.

I’m sure @Terry@BMS can help
I have no idea if this has to do with anything but when i did the DCT swap, i never flashed the msd81's zub to a 335is one. my car just worked without the updated flash. other dct swaps ive done had to have it coded or else transmission would not get out of limp mode. ill be trying that tmrw and ill grab another log but this time on 20psi

i did however get it to run Inaos with the help of @jyamona and the special mhd build. i hear now its made to flash inaos on an ijeos ecu without a power class delete in the actual mhd app.

All of the ROMs have DCT capability from what I’m led to believe. I doubt it’s the issue here but it can’t hurt to ask Jake

ps I’m IJEOS natively on a 2009

little bit of update. new l2t tables and ive got up to 56 on the calc_tq. protools shows 700+ nm. question is, is that what everyone on mhd alone are seeing from protools? might end up ditching jb4 for mhd flash only if it comes to it. thanks for everyones help so far !

You need to ask terry if the log limit of JB4 is limited for calc torq. Or if under reporting the torque thats sent to it or not.

For your power level, the TCM needs to see a minimum of 700-800nm. Id honestly send no less than 900-950nm. But thats just me.
