Hey everyone my name is John and this is actually my 1st post .
So I was in the market for coils and like a lot of people I was torn between Bimmerlife and Precision Racing. Anyway even though Bimmerlife coils were plug and play I decided to go with Precisions kit because their coils seemed to handle more abuse (plus I personally have a few boosted VWs and I know how easily they can crap out. Also when I was a Service Manager for a VW dealer it's crazy how many we used to replace.) So I got a set of PR coils and they finally came in last month, I wasn't in a hurry for them because there is still other things my 335i needed to get done before the coils would even go on so the 2 months it took to get them didn't bug me. Plus they were pleasant to deal with when I would enquire about updates. So recently I starting seeing posts about Bimmerlife coils not seat correctly and also the dismay that there plug and play harness connectors are breaking easily. Around that time I also saw Precision Racing post that they have connectors in the works and soon their kit will be plug and play. I reached out to them and enquired about a set considering I just purchased a set of coils and have yet to install them, I didn't expect them to be free because I understood updates to products happen all the time (you don't bitch at Best Buy when the laptop you bought a month ago is now replaced by a newer one with better specs right?...well at least I dont) . Today I got a surprise when I got home, Precision Racing sent out a set of connectors to me at no charge which was awesome. So I thought I would do some internet justice and share some pictures of the connectors and how they look assembled. The connectors feel sturdy I manhandled them a little pulling them on and off the factory harness, they didn't feel like they were going to break. If I had 1 criticism about the connectors it would be the tab that locks the connector into the factory harness should be a tad shorter when pushed in all the way there is a slight gap and I feel that the connector be more secure if it was shorter. This most likely won't have any affect and I'm being over critical only time will tell.
I know this post is long winded, especially for just a bunch of connectors but eh it's the little things that make me happy.
