Still be a couple of months.

I made the plate on cad and get it laser cut. I still need to countersink holes and fine tune the shape.

This was the 5th revision and first time I bolted them together.
Nice, have you considered selling them?

Is that adapter going to be strong enough? Usually they’re like 1/2”-1” thick aluminum plates, no?

Yea if anyone wants one.

They will fit any chev pattern so you can put a T400 or 4L60E in.

I'd say you're better off with the stock BMW auto than using a 4L60e. Maybe a 4L80e, but not the 60. I wonder if a 6L80 or 90 would fit the tunnel, not that I would go that route.

You should consider making a plate for the 6hp28 to fit the N54 imo. The ground work is already laid out for the swap and XHP has a full custom flash for that setup, so if you offered an easy way to mate them together I think you could sell a decent amount seeing as (BMW) trans mods are still few and far between. I think a lot of us would be interested in keeping the fast shift speeds and 6 gears plus other benefits that an hp28 offers.

Or at least I would be and would almost certainly buy one from you if the price was right ‍♂️ itd cut down on labor for the swap a good amount and make it much more DIY friendly to boot. I know it's still lacking a trans brake/real launch control feature at this point unfortunately but that could change with more people running them. Although I believe the hp28 has higher stall options due to the vehicles that are equipped with one so even that would be beneficial alone.

I would buy an adapter plate for the 6hp28 as well!!!

I can give you the n54 side but i havent got access to a n57 or the 28 trans pattern.
Ive got a 28. But the issue I think that arises is that some holes are so close. It may present an issue because they aren't spot on but I think a couple even overlap a bit. It would be better if the mounting holes were way off, more clearance for the opposing bolt.

Also the 335d runs an m57. Not sure if they made a change there.

Yes it is in regards to the adapter. I have a slightly different project going and wanted to discuss.

Brule is there anyway i could get the cad file off hand. My buddy wanta me to make an adapter for his trans type and it would significantly save me time having to not do one side? Or if not the cad file the measurements the n54 uses for its bellhousing? I understand you probably would be hesitant for revenue reasons possibly
