Phoenix Intake Manifold Fitment

So, I am going PI. I got a Phoenix intake manifold and having some fitment issues. I have stock airbox replacement, upgraded twins and stock location silicone 2" inlets. Has anyone installed the phoenix with this situation?

It is clear the stock airbox (aFe), will never work. I guess everyone has cone inlets at this point, which is workable.

That being said, the Phoenix manifold is bigger than the stock, both in terms of width (front of engine to firewall) as well as depth (in the direction of the driver's side fender). What that causes is the rear inlet to go below the Phoenix manifold instead of kind of around it and over it on the backside. It looks to me like the charge pipe is going to be in the way and/or the rear inlet is going to be squashed.

The 2nd issue is that the Phoenix manifold blocks the PCV valve port in the rear inlet once installed. I could probably find some kind of low profile fitting to address this, but it is a problem as well. I get most people probably ditch this part of the PCV system and vent to atmosphere?

At any rate, if anyone has stock location inlets and PCV and has the Phoenix manifold, would love to see pics or get some advice on how this was addressed. I am kind of regretting not just getting the plate. Seems so much easier.

Have you contacted BMS? They have very good customer service and can likely address your concerns.

I would vote go passenger side inlets and relocate your coolant tank. You can always 'upgrade' and get the 335D charge pipe and 335D coolant tank if you go that route. When your twins blow it will make your single turbo kit install that much easier ;)

People have made it fit, but lie you said maybe the rear inlet is squashed:

Interesting pic. What inlets are those? There is a twist that goes into those inlets that seems to make it work.

On the twins blowing, I had thought of that lol. Mine have like 80K+ on them and have been problem free since install. Probably just jinxed it.

I will email BMS support, good call on that.

VERY expensive. The picture in the engine bay does not seem to have the CF tabs unless they are just hidden or perhaps they removed them in another rev r the enclosed version and never updated the photo.

If you had to buy those to make it work you would be better off buying something like this in my opinion: https://precisionraceworks.com/products/e9x-e8x-relocated-inlet-kit?variant=39432892645569

Best of luck!
