I installed these with Eldor b58 coils and one step colder b58 plugs gapped to 0.022” (from FCPEuro ) and my car was blowing the spark out when it hit close to full boost. I then put back in my n54 one step colder plugs gapped to 0.014” with the b58 coils. The car would misfire but not as bad as with the b58 plugs. Then installed my old n55 Delphi coils with the n54 one step colder plugs and had no issue. The problem I was trying to fix was that I had to get the car to shift at 6500 rpm instead of 6800 rpm, otherwise the car detected misfire in the upshift and cut off cylinder number 6. I also needed to gap the plugs really tight with the Delphi coils to let the car rev through at full boost. Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong?

Probably need to see logs to better understand. Coil upgrades don't add power or fix issues of making big power. Possibly the timing side of the equation needs adjusting for the b58 (possibly a bump ? assuming it's dwell is longer than the N54 Delphi?) Then again you can also have the "coincidence doesn't mean causality " situation. This means that had you left the b58s in you might have had runs afterwards that were fine.
Post some logs up and people can play detective.

Here’s a log of the b58 coils running ngk 94201s gapped to 0.014”. Bigger gap caused misfire and it couldn’t rev through

The car feels ok at this gap. I still need to raise the shift points to see if misfire is detected at higher rpm.

That gap is incredibly small, B58 coils can handle big power at 0.027"
One thing I noticed was black dust on the plug porcelain when I switched back to n54 plugs and my Delphi coils. Next time I test the b58 setup I plan on cleaning the plugs and boots and applying all new dielectric grease. I’m still puzzled on this one. I’m sure I’m doing something wrong that is obvious but just not to me at this point.
