So I pulled out the NGK 96987 SILZKBR8E8S this past weekend. Mostly because I had to remove the Delphi coil packs I was running since they were causing a BSD issue, so I thought what the hell, let me install the NGK 97506 SILZKBR8D8S I had ordered (thanks @Bnks334 for the info).

The 97506s are running good. I gapped them to .025" and have grabbed numerous logs on stock flash, ACN91 fuel. Minimal to zero timing corrections for the most part, which for ACN91 is really good. I am going to throw back my E50 tune and see how they perform with more boost. I will report back once I grab some data.

In the meantime, can you guys please take a look at the 96987s I pulled out and shed some light on how they look/how my engine is running? They have about 6k miles one them. Gapped at .022”. one half mile race

N55 ewg x5. Just Installed FCP euro ignition service kit. delphi coil and bosch zr5tpp33 plugs not regaped as recommended. Since im suffering significant timing corrections on all cylinders at light and heavy load.
Pulled out plugs and they look nothing like I have seen before, electrod tip looks melted.

Any advices or similar issues.
Could fcp credit the parts and replace with OEM ?

97506’s also on my N55 FBO with PR coils
Never had any issues until recently

After 18months running PR I’ve just had misfires at WOT - turned out to be a fried coil / significant arcing on the plug on cylinder 3 -
Plugs changed every 5k miles
Have enjoyed PR set up but those boots are a major PITA to remove (even with dialectic grease)

Now taking a side step to the B58/nexys set up
The 97506 gapped at .22 have always been great running on custom mhd tune
