Anybody on here one of the testers for fuel-its meth port injection setup?
Wondering about the injectors holding up to water being run thru them.
Injectors are listed as being meth capable & are all stainless construction. I think they are the Bosch
ev14 models, but not positive? On the Bosch web site it lists that you have to run gas thru them after every methanol use? Thats not going to happen. So what kind of life will the injectors have? And will they fail open, closed, or just develop a poor spray pattern?

You know the funny thing is a couple weeks ago I was thinking about this same thing more seriously than usual and come to find out they have this as a product. I've been told that methanol will gunk up over time even if the injector corrosion issue is solved. I don't have any personal experience running methanol through an injector, I like the concept...just don't know if it works realistically in practice. Maybe @Steve@Fuel-It! @Dave @ Fuel-It! can shed some light on their product. I'm not an expert on this topic so I defer and am curious as well.

They will need to be cleaned periodically. More often than meth nozzles due to the internal parts of the injector. So yes there is a chance of gumming up.

Generally injectors like that if they do get gummed up. Fail closed or partially closed.
But sometimes stick open.

So I promised an update on the Bosch EV14 injectors, that Steve uses in his meth port injection system.
He was in touch with the manufacturer & below is the reply from Bosch. I bought this system to run with my ADE single turbo kit,
that will be shipped this week. I was now feel confident that the injectors will holdup. But I probably will clean them once a year.
Remember the following is the Bosch tech talking.

"And I spoke with the owner and head of our technical department, about that bosch document and methanol with the EV14 injectors and he reiterated that the internals of the injectors are fully stainless steel making them compatible with all known fuels. We haven’t seen injector failures related to methanol use and their notes about running gas through them is just for precautionary maintenance to wash away any build up that methanol could possibly leave behind. If your competitor that brought this to your attention is suggesting that there is another injector that is more compatible than the EV14 then they would be incorrect.

In my experience with the dirt track community (sprints, midgets, etc..) I’ve learned there is a large percentage of those guys running straight methanol in fuel injected motors with no additives. For general maintenance they do pull the injectors and have them cleaned once a season or so.

Thank you
James"

I've heard that those injectors can actually be pulled after every race and not every season. But I don't have any experience to know myself.
