Hello, so doing my M3 control arms this weekend, I’m still confused on when I take it to get aligned, do I ask for a 335i setting but them doing maximum negative camber.

I’ve read about 60 threads, and nothing.. haha

The rear lower control arms are longer so go for the M3 camber back there or else you will be fighting it. I had trouble getting my rear toe correct with the M3 LCA and stock toe links. I needed to buy toe links from Ground Control to have enough adjustment to get the rear toe into spec. They are a great part and have held up well. No play and clicking in the rod ends because they put boots on them.

I don't think the front arms or the rear upper arms are different dimensions so they shouldn't affect your alignment, but I could be wrong.

So look for M3 rear camber, and if you have trouble getting rear toe correct, but adjustable toe links.

I see, so this only applies to the rear arms ?

I only bought the front arm, so do I just ask for a normal wheel alignment ? And they can’t change the camber ?

Yeah I think front will be stock 335 then. Unless you want to pull the alignment pins where the strut mounts bolt to the chassis to get some additional negative camber. If your tires are wearing even I wouldn't change it.

Okay, thanks. I’ll call up tomorrow and say I just need it 335I and to leave the additional camber ?

Assuming the front M3 arms the are same length then the 335 alignment specs are what you want. You can get a little more negative camber by removing the alignment pins locating the strut mounts to the chassis. Let your tire wear tell you what camber to run.

@Tedbuildiy I think I was wrong. Look at the two links below. The first one describes all the part and mentions the lower wishbone is "bit longer and curved slightly to give more negative camber (adds .75 of negative camber)." The second link is a DIY showing the specs you can expect. About -1.5 to -2 degrees.

So it looks like you will end up with a bit more negative camber. The alignment shop might not be able to get 335 camber specs. If your happy with tire wear, have them set it to the least possible, but equal side to side. The least possible with the M3 arms should still be more than the stock 335 specs.

Thanks man, got delayed with DP today, so hopefully can get it all installed today..

Ill just call the shop say I need a wheel alignment but allow the 0.7 camber increase from M3 arms!
