You may want to do a little research on screens, before recommending them. They are usually between 40% - 45% closed, this means the surface area to actual intake will need to be much larger to possibly get full flow. Has nothing to do with dirt or dust. Putting a screen on the inlet of that turbo is killing its flow potential

That is real nice! Does the downpipe fit?

Thanks! I think I picked the right guy for this build!

As for the downpipe, we are not use yet.

Here is a pic @Payam@BMS sent me a while back with PTE 6062 before I changed the turbo to EFR 7670.

And this what I received after Anthony modified it for the EFR.

The only changes I can see is circled in red and it is right next to the turbine outlet. Rest of the pipe stayed the same, so we should be good with the downpipe.

Btw, love the community here but the site is kinda slow and buggy today just FYI.

Nice man, 7670 on the N54 is really responsive. Good bottom end and will pull to redline. 19psi on pump at 7K redline is the speed limit of the turbo, not sure you'll get 500 out of that but you'll go well into the 400's on a dynojet.

Yep. The bw matchbot seems suggest the same. Mine is auto, so it won't rev to 7k. 20psi is what @CKI@Motiv and I are aiming for with pump. Apparently the Supra guys can get over 500whp on just 15 psi, so hopefully n54 won't be too far behind with a less efficient head.

19 at 7K might be somewhat conservative, their matchbot is assuming a 105% VE spec at 7K which sounds high. 20psi sounds good, I'm at 14.5psi at 7K so far on a clients car and we're at ~410whp on 93

Heat shield for the valve cover turned out pretty nicely too. We gonna cover it with some additional insulation to better protect the wiring underneath.

Is your fabricator able to make more of these heat shields? I'd be interested in 1

played around with the matchbot software again, looks like 100% VE spits out roughly 420whp (assuming 15% drivetrain loss) at 14.5psi. would love to chat more about your customer's setup.

everyone is chasing big numbers these days with their single turbos, it is rare to find another setup cares about linear power delivery.

Love your build so far! I'm also running the VM/ACF kit but with a 6062 instead on my 335xi. I just wanted to keep everything conservative as well since I plan on keeping it on mostly pump 93. So far loving how the 6062 feels on the street!

Quick update. Running into some problem with the fitment of the manifold and downpipe.

The shop who is working on my car just found out on Thurs that the v-band connecting the bank 1 and bank 2 manifold is short by almost 1/4". Not sure how that happened since everything fit on the mockup engine at ACF prior to ceramic coating (as you can see from my previous post). Have to cut off the vband flange and reweld it. Both my mechanic and ACF thinks the ceramic coating somehow shrunk or wrapped the manifold. But I am having hard time picturing these thick 321 stainless steel piping can be wrapped so easily...

Downpipe is also off by almost 1/2" at the mid-pipe side (sitting way too low). We have to make a new one by scratch to fix that since the downpipe that ACF made me is also rubbing on the wiring harness at the top as well. There is just no way to make the current one work, especially with the recirculated dump pipes.

Good news. Hood clearance is good. The subframe was bolted back in today and we were able to close the hood without hitting the turbo.

Pretty disappointed at the moment, since I was promised a plug-n-play kit with minimal additional fabrication involved. The weld and the craftsmanship for each parts is top notch, but they are no good if then don't fit together.
