Is this normal for the VRSF outlets?

Hey guys,

I purchased VRSF outlets a couple months ago. I never inspected them or removed them out of the box because they're just outlets and nothing really special to drool over. Well I saved them to install it at the same time with my relocated inlets, but I opened the box today and started inspecting the pipes and YES they're fairly larger then the OEM no doubt, but the inside looks kind of weird where the machining and welding is. Can someone verify if this is normal and OK for me to strap them on or does VRSF need to send me new ones?

-Eric

I might just take a file in there to smoothen things out. Thanks guys. I was just wondering if they all look like this or if my outlets were just made on a Friday @ 4:45 pm.

Would not expect anything else from VRSF (China)
PSP outlets are top notch but difficult to source unfortunately

Do you guys think its necessary to use the heat reflective tape on inlets and outlets?

Well I installed the outlets. Fitment was probably 7 out of 10. I just had to keep moving the pipes around to get it to sit flush with the stock turbos, but the o-rings supplied with the outlets were over-sized. I had to boil the o-rings and press them in real hard so they sit flush with the pipes. Either way I'm happy the car finally has outlets. My MMP aluminum inlets have the worse fitment of all time. The rear coupler is short and the aluminum pipe keeps hitting the coolant line going to the turbo. I hit him up and he wants me to bend the coolant lines as close to the turbo as possible, but I don't want to do that so I just ended up ordering the PR relocated silicone inlets.

I had the same issues with the arm relocated inlets I believe it’s tight no matter which kit you order when relocating the inlets. If I were to ever do it again I think I will bite the bullet an order turner motor sports relocated kit. I did get their coolant tank pretty decent quality.

Hopefully the PR fit better!

I wonder if anyone has been able to run the 335d air box snorkel for the relocated inlets. I feel like the AC lines might be in the way and it wouldn’t fit, but I have a 335d so I can remove it to test it out later this week.

Yeah, I have the 335D snorkel on mine, no issues with fitment.
