Here's the post you guys in the Group Buy have been waiting on ;)

For those of you sending in your transmissions for rebuild, please follow these instructions…

1) Please ship your units to:
European Transmissions and Parts
Attn: Propulsive Dynamics, LLC (put your VIN in parentheses for tracking correlation purposes)
2430 Oak Street East
Cumming, GA 30041

2) Email me the tracking number at [email protected] along with your VIN and shipping address of the Old Dominion Freight hub closest to you. Shipping to any other address could result in higher return freight charges since picking it up at the hub is the absolute most economical option. However, contact me if you’d like to make alternative arrangements.

3) After I receive your email, I’ll send an invoice for the remaining 50% balance. After the final payment is received, the unit will be released for shipment, at which time I will send tracking via email.

This should cover everything but if anything changes on my side, I’ll update this post. Feel free to ask any questions.

I wonder if dropping off at the same hub would reduce freight prices to EuroTrans? Anyone have an account we can use?

Just in case some of you are wondering since I've gotten a few emails, this isn't a request to send in your units immediately. This is just to let you know that all the hardware is complete and ready for the builds. You can send them in whenever is convenient for you.

We produced several transmissions worth of clutches and bushings so just let me know whenever you're ready. I'm sure lots of people are just waiting for a bigger data sample before making a decision, which is totally understandable.

Also, for those looking to save some money, we will soon be offering the clutch kits separately now since we've confirmed xHP can make the changes needed through custom tuning to adequately emulate the dyno calibration.

Pricing on clutches separate?

Also, the best shipping method is to use a wooded pallet, a few cheap ratchet straps and some eye bolts. You can find a pallet at Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart or any building supply store.
Make sure the transmission is completely empty of fluid, including the TCC , plug the ATF inlet and outlet ports and put the unit in a heavy duty plastic bag. It will return to you the same way.

Can you give the total price for this rebuild without shipping? I live in Knoxville, TN and would be dropping the transmission off and picking it up.. Thank you

Just a note to anyone installing a new driveshaft. In order to get the correct torque of 55 lbs. ft. on that 50 mm nut, you have to compensate for any distance from the center of the nut. So if you are using the AR Design giant 50mm wrench that has holes for a torque wrench, you have to measure the deviation from centerpoint of the 55 lbs. ft. measurement.

In my case, due to my specific measurements which added about 3 inches from the centerpoint - I had to adjust 55 lbs. to 48.7 lbs. ft.

When I torqued the nut, it arrived at torque setting limit fairly easily. I assume that this is because I had exponentially more powerful leverage than before when I removed the nut...plus the fact that the thread lock from the old nut was already set and that made it SUPER crappy to remove the nut.

There are apps that calculate the torque needs for folks who are using extensions like crows feet or wrenches. Search your google play store for Android:

"Norbar Torqe Wrench Extension Calculator"

the same search for iPhone app store.

Good luck and cheers to everyone.
