First of all what brand is highly thought about?
Second of all can anyone tell me the exact mechanics of these like how they work why they work better?
I know they are silicone hoses but that's about it

Our most popular option is VRSF, they offer aluminum and silicone inlets ( stock location and passensger side relocated versions)

Pretty sure this is the thread that instantly "halved" the silicone product costs- while not cutting out custom CNC adapters and high quality hardware... Getting MORE for less (then others came a bit later offering less for less) :)

We've had great success with the RB Silicone products- lots of repeat business from the hands on installer types and many who have moved away from competitive designs to ours as well.

It's all good as just the other week another vendor was saying they were the first to come to market with these affordable silicone inlet solutions (whereas they were the fourth/last). So that only struck a humor chord to see yet another conflict of reality viewpoint.

Anyway at the end of the day let's not forget the price for ingenuity- which was really on VTT. Without them coming in when they did with the concept "el cheapo" plumbing solutions- none of the options may not exist even today. So some props should be in order regardless of the initial markups (when said and done).

I have MMP inlets and outlets and like them. Seem fine for what they are.

MMP also got the 'other vendors' to stop taking insane margins and ripping off customers. Inlets used to cost $500+ and now sell for $200 with a 'fair' profit margin. For that reason he got my business.

You can also buy a lot of N54 parts on Alibaba:
https://www.alibaba.com/showroom/n54-silicone-inlets.html
https://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?fsb=y&IndexArea=product_en&CatId=&SearchText=n54+downpipes

Have you ever bought via Alibaba though, or even these items? I like their pricing but everything after that from purchasing and returns, fitment, etc I question.

I have MMP and had good support from Mauricio and about 7k miles on mine. At the end of the day, several vendors. I would also look at the new aluminum outlets from VTT.

What about the PSP aluminum outlet? Anyone have feedback on that one? I'm thinking about switching since I plan on doing a few HPDEs this season and was told silicone would not stand up to the heat.

I had a VTT silicone outlet when I was on stock turbos and it fit like ass. So trying to avoid their inlets/outlets.

Coming Soon for inlet option ! :D

Still under development. Works with stock turbos, or VTT, RB, Pure, MMP turbo upgrades etc based on turbo snout selection 1.75" or 2.0" . Carbon Fiber, silicone with aluminium reinforced inserts or no inserts option. The current silicone inlets are the cheaper solution though and most commonly used for upgrading the outlet or inlets. Aluminium outlet is the way to go IMO.
