Hey guys,
So I had my car and I was reprogramming the GWS to test some stuff out and my car died.(it was on a charger that Ive used before succesfully) Fast forwarding, the programming status is now 12. In ista it shows as programming abort mode. In INPA it shows up on the UIF and info section but the zb no is corrupted.

I was going to try NFS but I cant get it to run.

Using bmw tools from bimmergeeks.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

The only recovery mode that I’ve heard to work is NFS.
do you know the part number... it’s a DCT GWS yes?

And you need the ZSUB for that part ?
No i have everything, but when i proceed to flash it the bar completes to 100% and throws error codes.
Error 211 Code 2086 signature check failed.

I cant get NFS to work so Im not sure how to proceed.. NFS throws a side by side error and there arent any forums on setting it up. If you could point me in the right direction I can try and use it.

Nothing will work if there is a problem in a file you're trying to use. NFS probably needs some messing in the ini file to set it to STD:OBD if you're DCAN cable.

I tried flashing the stock zb to it and for NFS I changed the ini to reflect the obd. The problem Im having is that NFS will not even open. I ordered an ICOM cable that should be in today.Ive read that the kdcan has some sort of bug in it that throws the signature check error.

That's odd that it won't open at all, maybe something is still missing in the ini. If you have an ICOM and power supply, ISTA P may be a good option.

Here are my ini changes (OBD and removed remote interfaces). It takes a minute for anything to happen on mine, then it opens 3 WinKFP batch windows, then NFS. Maybe you're just not waiting long enough.

Interface= STD:OBD
MEHRKANAL= JA

That's relatively good to hear! Not as easy as a software config, but not terribly expensive.

I have a GSW and CAS module that have been rendered non functional, but responsive, and keep getting signature check failures.

I fortunately had a spare CAS and so can start the car, but with GSW module non running, being in Programming State 12, my DCT is more of an anti transmission at the moment.

If only I knew someone in the metroplex with a BimmerScan cable and could resolve this ASAP. guess I'll have to wait for a delivery. It so sucks not having any gear heads around.

How did you find out it was the cable and the Bimmer Geeks cable worked?

It was a lucky guess lol. I had to drive a hour both ways the same day.

Drove an hour and picked it up.

Coded in like 5 min.

Drove an hour and returned it.
