So I don't get wheel hop.my tires do spin.would a lockdown brace for diff still be recommened?
If so then there seems to be 2 different styles out there.on is a solid plate and other is a defiv knockoff.is one better then the other.i can see the solid piece helps the diff from moving side to side and front to back but the other defiv style has bushings and side to side stiffness but seems to lack the front to back stiffness.seems like there both about same price for sale,I like the bushing style verses the one solid plate but it's not really seen under car and rather have the best out of both.from searching I see there's bunch that have either or so....some feedback would be great.

I have the defiv style and I could tell an immediate improvement in overall rearend behavior. I didn't have wheel hop, but at WOT, the car would do what I call a 'rear end shimmy' and you could feel the rear get kind of 'wavy' for lack of a better description. I was only FBO at the time and it was awful. Now, even with hybrid twins the car feels planted and much more confidence inspiring at WOT.

Same. I have the defiv style and had the same situation. Well worth the $$$ and 10 minute install.

I have solid metal subframe and differential bushings from turner, a quaife LSD, and a plate style lock down brace(probably overkill). I still get the rear end shimmy/wavyness which I fucking HATE. Michelin PSS 265s on 19'' BBS CHRs. I hate the feeling of the rear going left to right.

Any suggestions on how to fix this anyone?

What is your rear shock situation? They make a difference getting power to the ground

Interestingly enough I was also on Michelin PSS when mine occurred. Have you experienced it with different tires?

I have only ever ran PSS on my car. I'm getting to their limit I think with my 6466 but maybe it is the suspension? I'm not against getting super grabby dont drive in the rain tires that are noisy at this point. Just a shame to try and sell used $300 tires with 50% + life.

I'm embarrassed to say stock shocks with 90k on them and eibach lowering springs. Think this is the issue?

I've been holding off on doing the full suspension as I want to do it once and do it right and that is expensive...like 4k+ in parts at least, probably equal to the cost of my single turbo all things considered. I know I can do it for less...I was also holding off as the suspension seemed fine on stock turbos being pushed on meth and 93. I'm also unsure of the value of investing 4k+ into a 2007 e92 but I guess I am far down the n54 rabbit hole.

Maybe it is time to restart making my excel sheet for suspension components to buy...

This platform hits a huge cliff in $ per hp after say 550whp. A fully upgraded fuel system is 2.5k give or take. I'm just bitching while drinking fyi.

You might also want to think of adding high-quality aftermarket adjustable toe arms. The stock toe arm bushings are rather soft and become more of a liability at higher power/torque outputs, contributing to the rear end wander you describe.

I agree with Hydra on rear adjustable suspension. Also new rear sway bay would help your rear from swaying. And urethane upper shock bushings for good measure.

Lol i think everyone has the a lot of the same thoughts. I bet the shocks are probably blown at 90k and 11yrs old. I just changed the rear shocks on my car at 120k. One shock had no compression the other had no rebound. I put Bilstein b8's on way better than the stockers even when i got the car at 34k. i would tend to think its probably the shocks since you have almost everything else done on the rear. The only other thing i could think of is if you have some weird tire fitment where they are outside of the recommend rim fitment.

Were you thinking of swapping the m3 parts in or just getting some really expensive shocks?
