Half n half inlet setup

All, I'm in the process of setting up my inlets a little different than usual. On the rear turbo I plan to use a silicone inlet, but with the stock type air filter/airbox, with cold air duct. On the front turbo, I will be running a relocated inlet type (silicone inlet as well). Coolant tank is in stock location, and the vacuum cannisters have been relocated to engine left.

Anyone ever tried this?

Thoughts were the front is easy.... the rear would maintain the cold air inlet all that kind of thing, but also while keeping losses low (flow through airbox would be half of stock).

Thoughts?

ETA: front turbo recirc valve will return to airbox in position where front turbo intake was. No recirc to front turbo, rear turbo recirc circuit is as stock.

I have a friend who ran a setup like that on his upgraded twins before going single-turbo. Like what you're describing, his 2" rear inlet was in the stock location but the 2" front inlet was on the hot side due to the thickness of his upgraded radiator making it nearly impossible to squeeze that inlet between. He never had any issues as far as I knew, regarding boost and IAT's. So, you should be fine

I have the same setup from Hydra just with 3" inlets.

Works great. I wouldn't want to have relocated rear inlet. It's too hot back there.

That's the route I ultimately want to go. I want to ditch my DCIs for a Mr. 5/vasillalov intake and possibly also run the front inlet to the hot side so I can run a CSF radiator.
