I wanted to confirm that I am understanding the gear ratios properly, and I haven't been able to find anyone talking about this. I was hoping someone might shed some light on it.
As shown in the attached screen shots, this transmission apparently has what they are calling "constant gears".
The second attachment makes it appear that this constant 1.630:1 gear is a "constant" gear multiplication on the transmission output, which is going to effect every gear.
Based on the ratios provided for each gear, I want to assume that the constant ratio has already been factored in, and we are seeing the final input shaft versus output shaft ratios. But, since they felt the need to list that constant ratio on its own there, it makes me feel like they are not including it in the gear ratios.
