Went for a quick ride at store and when I came back I saw this.amazing how hot the downpipe gets hot.it's ceramic coated but think it's all hype.it doesn't help with heat.may wrap it.

So I redid the wiring and moved them up.I would like to move them so the coils are all visible.I like the dark blue look but I used the t

hick black insulated and ran it across the coils.you think this can cause with wiring close to coils?arcing or voltage issue?

My ceramic bottom mount is hotter than wrapped top mounts. Not in terms of peak local temps at the valve cover area, but in terms of general radiated heat. Ceramic seems to only be a corrosion inhibitor. Wrapping or using that metal shielding with insulation seemed to be the best way to keep the heat back.

at work i get a heat reflector but comes in small sections, which i use in the area. Also may come up with a shield for the coils since its so close to the downpipe

It'll be fine there, I shoved mine in the valley in front of the coils to get it out of the way. Been working with Robert to get a better kind of wire solution, seems people have the most issues with that since you have to push them in deep not just with your fingers usually. As for the rear bolt it's not really necessary, the test kits weren't bolted in at all. People who check plugs a lot tend to leave the mount loose.

It would nicer/cleaner if the wires are run in the valley under the coil packs but is too close to the heat source from downpipe.maybe a simple "L" sheet metal shield screwed into that PR bottom section then lay the wires there and the sheet metal would protect it?

would think this will cause wire failure issues and tracking. I would like to see them lengthened before I buy any.
