So I don't know where to start with the attached codes. It says what they are but I can't find anything online about them.
What happens is just randomly I get the death gong and a blip of the gear shift pop up in the display for less than a second. Car continues driving fine. If I'm in sport or manual mode the shifter will pop into regular drive mode.
This started to happen after I disconnected my battery for three days while I painted the door jambs.
A BMW tech told me it's the shifter going bad. Easy enough to try and swap and they are pretty cheap on ebay.
I just want to know if anyone else here has experienced this and what they did for a fix.
