This is the IS, I have some others in my collection on my first and only photo album
Yeah see abuvI see you are here in Atlanta, post up a picture of your car. Do you go to any of the local meets?
Answer me this... I have a galaxy tab 4, 8", could I run it with this? Or should I get a newer tablet first? How much space do I need ? Any particular OS? And what cables to buy? Now I want to put an Xmas list together for running MHD... Not that anyone but myself is buying it, but I just want to get the right stuff the first timeI second everyone else about MHD. Super easy to use with quick "on the go" flashing. I'm just a few hours north of you in Knoxville, TN and offer full custom tuning, if you're looking for something better than OTS tunes.
Thanks for the response and link, that is just the info I needed! So any device with Android 4.4 (preferably) should work just fine. There are many people that run MHD of their phone, inexpensive Chinese tablets, and name brand tablets. Its just up to the user.
The cable is a different story. Some people cheap out and buy the $20 amazon cable and is hit or miss on working. You need to have a K+dcan cable for MHD to work properly. The cable below is a sure work.

For storage concerns, just make sure you have a at least on Gbyte available (to be on the safer side of things) although it isn't a storage hungry application at all.
All in all, your tablet should be more than fine to work with MHD, and should be nice especially for monitoring being that it is a 8inch tablet. Getting the correct cable is key to prevent headaches down the road. From their, enjoy the app!
Hope this helps

I got nice 100$ DCan cable you pointed/ linked Me...
I still have my Cobb AP tho, and Am curious to try a bren tune... How much are Motiv tunes? I still need an MHD Lic too... I have the license to a Dinan Stage 3 tune, Cobb AP and all
OTS tunes, and now about to have MHD on deck as well... Tuning toys are my spending issue atm... I just wanna "play" with them all...Lol
only thing you need to worry about or verify with ANdroid is if your device runs Android 4.1+ and if the device you use is USB OTG ready. Then it should work, so long as there is no mechanical damage to the port.
honestly would not even bother with Dinan unless you are super concerned with a warranty issue. but the these cars are fairly old now, i wouldn't think many are still under warranty. I'm a Cobb protuner and also tune on MHD for what its worth.
You do in houSe dyno tuning at your shop? Boost by gear and what not ?Glad you got the cable, and hope everything is smooth sailing from here!
All of our stages were tested on the dyno, road and track. We can arrange a dyno to see what your vehicle puts down post tune. We highly suggest and incorporate load per gear for stage 3, especially if you are on stock tires, and want to get off the line just right. Beyond that, we can try to accommodate any requests you have pertaining to your specialized tune! You do in houSe dyno tuning at your shop? Boost by gear and what not ?
this was supposed to be up there^Glad you got the cable, and hope everything is smooth sailing from here!
and this^, hows the build coming?Nice! Beautiful car, I haven't been able to come out to events the last few months due to construction of the car. I hope to make it to the December meet.
thats what im gonna do, jake is going to allow me to keep my dinan tune saved to my Tablet (shhh) and be able to flash it back myself we have been in touch... INPA cable FINALLY showed up today 42 days and 100$ laterSwitch to MHD, talk to either Jake @ MOTIV. Jake worked with Murial to convert my Cobb tune to MHD, so it carried right over, and then we went tweaking from there. Best thing you'll ever do.
