I've heard of issues with the m3 and dct combined with this steering wheel. I'm wondering if anyone has used it with an E chassis vehicle before?

I asked about it once in another forum and the response i got from Ken Oath was
“Performance Steering Wheel (w/o Steptronic) P/N 32302165395
Performance Steering Wheel (with Steptronic) P/N 32302165396

As BMW state, this is not for DCT vehicles.

The DCT paddles do actually fit as the holes for the steptronic paddles are bigger.
Problems were encountered when fitted to DCT with the CAN bus freezing. After resetting the problem returns after a week or two.”

I gave up at that point because it makes no sense that BMW makes a wicked performance wheel but doesn’t make it for its fastest car - Doesn’t make sense does it. I googled though not very much but never came up with an answer.

I've seen pics of this installed in DCT M3's. Perhaps more info could be attained by looking at M3 specific groups/vendors??

I did quite a bit of searching when trying to diagnose a problem on my current 6at setup and came across some issues but I don't recall there being a solution. I'll do some more research and report back, it's in my car already so there isn't any harm in trying. Perhaps not having the m drive stuff will be the difference maker.

Honestly I don't know what I'm going to need to do. I forget where I connected it all the first time and haven't done the wiring for my dct harness so it's still a bit of a mystery for me.

Yes the features work with dct, just pick the right model, I was umming and arghing about which one to get, couldn’t justify £1000 on a steering wheel

But how can you confirm this? BMW themselves have stated that it doesn't work with DCT, only AT. I've seen people with DCT use it, they just have problems with it.
