I am looking to do a couple mods to my 535i. I was wondering if the 335i charge pipe will fit? I plan on running a BOV and not the diverter valves. I have my old wagner intercooler from my 335i that I plan on fitting as well.

I run the Burger Tuning BMS 7.5” high density e chassis race FMIC. It is spec’d for 335 And not necessarily for the 535. From a quick google search it appears the Wagner model has the same mounting ears the BMS one. Same with my charge pipe. I run VTT’s 3” chargepipe with TIAL BOV and it wasn’t 535 specific.

Did u have to make brackets for the intercooler? Or mod some stuff for the charge pipe to fit? Thanks for the info

I did have to fabricate the brackets. Grabbed some angle iron from Home Depot and MIG welded it together. Painted black and attached where the bumper goes. Tucks in nicely.

No issue at all man, I went into this blind years ago as there wasn’t many folks modding the 535Xi’s. I’m happy to help.

Regarding the charge pipe - I had to relocate my power steering pump as the lines were getting in the way. I don’t recall if it was because I went 3” but either way it was tight and I just moved it over to the strut/headlight area. I didn’t make any type of bracket there because I honestly forgot about it. The attached pic is from when I was fitting everything up. You’ll probably notice my car isn’t that clean. It’s a daily driver and have nearly 200k miles on it. My only issue lately is getting a transfer case to last more than 5,000 miles....

My understanding is the ER charge pipe is plug and play on the E60. VRSF w/ BOV is supposed to fit as well.

I went with BMS and DVs, While its a nicely finished product there was no way it was going to clear my power steering reservoir/lines (sport package car). I had the res off the bracket and still couldn't find clearance so I had to massage the CP.

I'm pretty interested in FMIC options right now, ARM has a pretty competitively priced solution I've been eyeing and so does VRSF. I'm just hesitant knowing a lot of E60 products are usually warmed over E9x specific parts
