I haven't heard anything about the doc race one in a while, but I have been eyeing one from vie for a little bit. It has integrated a occ and a coolant tank.

The VIE one looks nice, but the above the radiator fan mounting location of the DocRace version is really what I'm looking for.

I agree! I wish they would release this already or even provide a timeline.

I mean...you could always call them to get an answer vs. expecting them to read a specific forum post...

That is assuming I have not done that, or emailed them or even posted on their FB Group asking the question. ;) I have called and did not get an answer and the mailbox is full. Last time I emailed them they said these were pushed back without an eta. That was about a month or so ago.

Sounds similar to the intake manifold option, then all of a sudden they did a presale Group Buy. @FRNTHVY keep us updated on what you find out if they ever respond.

Yea, I spoke to Kirk and they are not focusing on this at this time. They are however keeping a list of people interested so if that picks up they might up its priority. It does not sound like this is going to happen soon.

Gotcha. Thanks for the update!

Just a bit confused as what was really left to finish? It's just a fluid container and it looks like they already had a functional prototype.

The nice thing about this is that it extends to both sides, meaning you don't have to run mickey mouse hoses back across the engine bay for no reason. I really like the concept, however I also want to be able to redirect airflow to the passenger side intake cone as I do with the 335d duct. If someone could come up with a solution that considered both of these constraints, I'd definitely be interested.

Also, that VIE tank would not work with the ADE charge pipe most likely, the bov would sit right under it.

Problem solved. I swapped the Tee fitting on the waterpump inlet to a 90 and added a Tee to the return line from the heater core. Combine that with the 335d tank, bracket, and small line off the 335d upper radiator hose and you have a super clean solution.

Okay... I didn't think of doing this, probably because I've re-routed this line due to the shotgun. If this works, then this solves the main issue I have with the driver side coolant tank. Still not a fan of the way this looks, the tank points the wrong direction, just doesn't fit this area. Do you have a part number for the 90?

You have to cannibalize oem lines to get the connectors. I don’t remember where I got it from. Would be nice if someone knew how to order just the connectors.

try find a local fabricator to build one that suits your taste. mine was custom built and neatly fits in the corner. was not expensive at all and ended up with something user friendly that looks like it was designed to be there.
