DME Subconnectors

Does anyone know a part number, have a few extra, or know where I can get the sub connectors that plug in to the DME?

Flashing and testing on my bench DME has become a pain having to move the individual wires between them. It would be much easier and faster if I could just plug/unplug as a unit.

Thanks!

We just have the ones we use to make the JB4, you can just track down a used JB4 harness for those. Doesn't have the higher current power connectors and such though as we don't intercept those.

jyamona, its done by wire size, most are going to be the 12 52 7 522 387 for the small wires 0.35 to 0.5mm and 12 52 7 522 388 is for the larger wire sizes 0.75 to 1.5mm.

I only have 8 of the 12 52 7 522 387, not sure how many you need.

12 52 7 522 388 is this the one that is used for the Green Connector for power?

Thank you everyone for all the info. The part numbers above should get me about 90% of the way there, just missing two things.

In the smaller pocket in the image above (section #3), does anyone have the part number for the larger power/ground pins to the left? And also socket?

Holy hell, that was not easy to find. Lucky I have my wiring harness next to me in the shop. In the power supply connector you have six wires, two are 2mm, one is 1.7mm, and the three 2.8mm. The connector is not sold by itself, its part of the engine harness.

1.5 to 2.5mm is 61 13 8 364 834 need 3
2.5 to 4.0mm is 61 13 6 913 612 need 3

Most of those connectors Tyco won't even talk to you about on the phone. They look it up in their system and see that it's exclusive to BMW and they refuse to say anything (sigh). When you search the product on their website and it says "Restricted Product" rest assured that you won't get anything out of them information wise and they basically laugh at you when you ask to order some.

Just buy a new male and female connector of your liking and make a patch harness you can swap things out on easily.

Thank you all, this will be a big help. If anyone finds a way to order that TYCO, a suitable alternative, or has a junk harness laying around they can chop it off of, let me know :)

You have to get a letter from BMW AG or something stupid. Forge one

That sure looks like it. BMW only has it on the N43 and S65 engines but not on N54 epc catalog. Nice find Erichale77.

Is shows it going on different DME's but all the connector guides to fit in the DME sockets looks correct.
