Years ago, back in high school, my first job I created custom hoses and fittings for many different applications and I haven't done it since.

Trying to get geared up to do this again in the home garage, but the product choices, hose types, etc are pretty intimidating to get sorted out.

Lots of info the Googles but also a lot to sort through. Anyone have a favorite supplier for the tools, fittings, hose, etc and any recommendations they can share to help others like me get started?

Are you referring to AN lines? If so, I use ICT Billet for a lot of my stuff. No issues yet and shipping is quick. I also have a small and large speedway hose cutter, aluminum magnetic vice jaws, and I use an electric Milwaukee 1/2” impact to get the 8an and larger fittings onto the hose. Love my setup.

I just did all my crank case stuff with push lock and black braided. Push lock is difficult at fist but watch the YouTube vids and you will get the hang of it.

Well what kind of stuff so you want to make exactly? You can do hose, tube, braided or the nylon stuff.

People need fuel and wastegate lines mostly. Pcv lines as well depending on the setup.

I have no idea where to start. I haven't looked into it yet but I have 55K on the car so I should probably start replacing stuff soon. Once my car is back from DCT servicing maybe I will start on the vacuum lines.

I have AN PCV, oil cooler, wastegate, BOV, and fuel lines including PI and FPR/Return on my car. I also have made just about everything in my shop. My build thread has quite a bit of the info laid out as well.

I like the idea of this thread. Would love some braided lines and AN fitting under the hood, and anything DIY I’m into

The black braided always looks nice. I want to redo my catch can lines. I have some hose that is just too stiff. Seems like a low risk place to start along with some vacuum lines just for the fun of it.
