Small update:

Code pretty much sorted, just need some more testing (in car).

I'm having some small custom adapter circuit boards made up that will monitor PT-CAN/GWS/EGS and control the M-gws, these boards are on the way.

Issues.

Park button, as yet, not working; as the M-gws does not have this (or any of the circuits on the GWS motherboard), then this is probably NA (the M-gws is working as it should (from checking BMW's Spec of the GWS unit)), so we are asking it to do something its not meant to...

Once you get used to leaving in drive and using the handbrake button (or door open) for park not really an issue TBH.

Up/Down shifting, works while MFSW paddles are used and in the small time window when the +/- led are on.

Pretty sure I know why, the M-gws is expecting to be in sport mode from ignition on, since the egs is by default in drive (not sport), then the up/down is expecting S1-S8 not M1-M8.

As yet not able to push the M-gws into sport mode (will keep looking at this).

Up/down, is (for me) a very minor issue tbh, I always use the paddles for manual shifting. That said I will keep looking at this.

I'll post up some pictures when the boards get here and they are all coded up and installed in car.

As yet zero problems with the M-GWS, it works as it should and no jumping out of gear or anything like that.

Hello, I don't see a problem with not having the P button, it works just as well in M vehicles. My only difficulty is not being able to use the paddles in manual mode without being expelled to D automatically. I just needed some way for the GWS M to know that I'm in manual or Sport. The rest works fine. Have you had any feedback on the plates? thanks
