Coolant Expansion Tank Fittings?

I am looking for fittings (Dorman?) That connect to the Coolant expansion tank lower fitting. OEM fittings are part of the hose assembly and are not available.
Cutting off an OEM fitting is very difficult to use because of the size - OEM hoses are flared to accept the large connection. Stretching a hose to go over that connection is less than satisfactory.

Dorman makes some that look the same, but are only listed for Audi and VW.

In the mean time, I have ordered a few varieties to try out.

Anyone know of any that fits?

Just buy Silicon coolant hose, bulk, and cut to fit. It'll fit just fine.

Yes the Dorman ones fit (I don't recall the exact size) but they are clocked differently. You need to grind/file the alignment tabs out.

A secondary option is to just buy used stuff from ebay and get the fittings you need that way, or salvage yards.
I picked up a lower coolant tube (auto to manual, removing trans cooler line) for about $15 shipped.

Thanks - I have a few of the Dormans on order to try out. Including a 90deg

Not relocating the tank to the other side but I am switching the tank to different one that takes less room. The new tank is oriented a bit differently so I need to extend the hose and find a different fitting.

I don't know what constitutes reasonable but would expect the final cost to be around $30ish. However it's not worth making anymore unless we knew at least 20 that could sell fairly quickly.

Well that should work well for a VTA coolant implementation ... At a minimum you'll impress @barry@3DM if you mount an auxiliary cooler on top of the hood

You should be able to use a square file to widen the narrow slot on the fitting so it points down. I did that for my relocation and haven’t had any issues with it

Hopefully you can dig something up here, would be nice to find a nice solution for sub $5. The CNC method is just not nearly as affordable.
