Connecting rod side to side play

All connecting rods except the one with the failed bearing have slight side to side play.

Is this an issue?

What could have caused this?

I've replaced the other bearings as well and did 20nm and then 140 degrees in one smooth motion. The crank still turns fine but I don't want to put this together if it's going to fail again

There has to be some lateral clearence for heat expansion. It's minimal but nessasery.

I just done mine with new King bearings and Arp bolts, went smoothly.

140 degrees after the 20nm is twice as far as you are supposed to turn the bolts. It should be 70 degrees after the 20nm.
