Communication codes?????

My stock 07 335i has bunch of codes that only show in scanner (means No check engine light and I’m able to pass inspection).
It has the codes since the day I bought the car which is more than a year ago and drove over 10k miles (car has 106k miles now)

It drives fine, I thought it is battery related but I never need to jump start the car, car starts right up during 0 degrees winter. just the codes drive me crazy.


I’ve checked my IBS connection in the battery negative terminal, all connected.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Take a photo of your ibs, maybe one of those connectors isn't right

Use ISTA+ and pull the full codelist across all modules.

The 2 blue connectors come out of the IBS are connected to the 2 big circles

I don’t have ISTA+ and never used it.....
The tool I have in hand is MHD for code reading and INPA, can it be achieved with INPA?

I honestly don't remember how it's supposed to go. Just download ista. It is honestly the best software I have for my car.

Yea, ISTA is about 1/10 as complicated as INPA but gives you 10x the functionality. Once you install it simply connect it up and select "full car diagnostic" and you'll wonder why you waited so long to use it.

The only pain is setting it up, can be confusing. Just make sure you get the right installation files. But once you get it, you're essentially never going to need anyone for diagnostics again, at least any non-tuning related diagnostics.

Thanks for the advice guys. Just set up the ISTA+.
I cleaned all codes and run the car for few minutes, these are the codes that came back up.

Now that you have all your codes, go to service plan. ISTA will walk you though how to troubleshoot that unique coseset specific to your vehicle.

My ista starts to act funny whenever I try to use the wiring diagrams all the links are bad when I click.
