Looking to replace my clutch and don't have a bunch of money for a high dollar clutch. I'm probably around 150-200hp over stock. Any suggestions and info would be greatly appreciated. 07 335xi Sedan. Bare with me this is my first thread and forum.

Thats about where I am with it I would like to stay under $400. I have found a LUK Clutch kit for $275. Right now that's kinda where I am leaning. BMW OEM I can get for around $350. I'll also looking into the seals and probably the crank seal too since they will be in there.
Welcome!

Did you have a particular price range you had felt comfortable with? I think there are some people putting in the 335is clutch as a semi-upgrade.

Its for sale on ECS for $360 right now. Part number: 21207603248

Here is an install video:

Might want to look into trans input/output seals and bellhousing bolts if they aren't steel.

The oem clutch is made by luk, just rebrand and a jacked up price. The 335is/550i clutch kit would be perfect for your power range with stock like clutch feel. I'd also recommend getting a new flywheel, most places won't resurface a dual mass flywheel. You will also need new bell housing bolts, they are one time use and CANNOT be reused. Have you done a cdv delete yet?

I haven't done the CDV yet, it was part of the plan when doing the clutch. What's the difference between a 335is clutch and 335xi clutch?

The 335is clutch is stronger and has more power holding capability compared to the stock 335i/xi clutch. Many people have reported maxing out stock frame and some people even running hybrids with the is clutch. I ran the 335is clutch with no issues while fbo on stock turbos, my single quickly killed that clutch though.

Not to hi-jack, but how many people run motiv twin disk clutch?

To OP: I think 335is clutch is your best option I hear many good things on it.

Does the year of the IS make a difference on the clutch? And are the fly wheels the same or do I need an IS fly wheel too

Has anyone done single mass conversion? Or any yays or nehs about it?
I have a 335is clutch with an Mfactory single mass LWFW. Clutch is doing good at 420+ whp and ~18k miles so far. Single mass gave me chatter on idle and drone at high load/low rpm (wot below 2.5k rpm). If I had to do it again, I'd stick with a new stock DMFW and the IS clutch because I'm stock turbo.

I read about misfires with the DMFW and not being able to reuse/resurface it.

OP I would buy a new DMFW if you don't plan on making over 500hp. I believe its over 500hp where the DMFW could become weak over time and cause false misfire codes. Also a steel SMFW will not cause as much chatter as a lightweight.

Im stage 1+ MHD with 5" Intercooler and charge pipe and bov. About to go catless DPs and Stage 2+ with MHD. So I should be close to the 450-500hp range at motor. What year 335is should I be looking for these parts? Or if anyone has a parts list that would be awesome also.

hokie_335i posted a link for the 335is clutch to use. your setup is very similar to what I have. luckily my stock clutch is holding fine. I still believe a new DMFW will suit you just fine. maybe someone else can chime in with their thoughts.
