Automatic Light/Dark them switching

If you have not done so, change your style preference to "Automatic" at the bottom of the page:

This will automatically make the site style either a Light or Dark theme based on your OS settings. For those that don't know, Windows 10 has a Light and Dark settings option, just click Start and type: 'Dark theme settings'

This also works for the latest iOS and Android versions which also have support for this feature.

The Automatic theme is by default a Light theme, so if you don't have Windows or a supported Mobile OS and you prefer Dark you may click the toggle button to change to a Dark mode:

If you want to enable automatic switching again, just click the Style chooser and select 'Automatic'.

Did something change on the site? I don't use my OS dark mode but I do on Spoolstreet. Every time I select dark, it reverts to auto and is no longer in dark mode. I can do the toggle style button and it will go to dark mode, but then it reverts on the next thread load.

Since I have your attention here - I cant get dark mode to "stick" it constantly goes back to auto. I miss dark mode immensely.

It should remember your preference. On Auto, it will follow your device's mode if you're using Android 10 or windows.

What does the style preferences say in your user preferences? How do you switch it normally?

It was set to auto, so I changed it to Dark. It said it saved, and when I go back and check it, its back to auto, and won't stay in dark mode. I can manually change it at the bottom of the page on windows, but it won't persist.

I just clicked it, it changed to dark mode. Refresh page, back to auto.

Went to my account preferences, changed that to dark - hit save. It stayed on auto.

Ok. I can reproduce this. Not sure why it's happening. Only way to get dark now is to set your device to dark mode. I'll investigate.
