After pushing the stock engine with Chinesium 17T at 27psi on E80 mixes for several months, the engine suffered compression loss on cyl 4 (79psi)

Broken ringlands on piston #4

Very strange wear pattern on the big end bearing of unit #5.
Did anyone see this before?
Blackstone oil analysis were all fine.

Last sample was sent 5000 miles (5 months) ago.
IMO the damage pattern is a result of prolonged wear but that's just a guess.

hmm, they normally catch things like this. Could have been an extremely slow process of degradation.

At least you send your samples in. I have 10 bottles full, like a freaking idiot. At least I can say "I can't believe they didn't catch the problem!"

So the block is finally being machined at the shop for some new ductile iron Sleeves from Westwood cylinder liners. Hopefully I can pick up de block one of these days so we can start to build it back together.

The ringlands were not your failure caused, timing was!

Yes, but they were not supposed / expected to do so with that boost psi and timing combination.
