Does anyone make a version of aluminum outlets for a 535i? I only see silicone versions.

Nah, the abs makes in the way for a top mount, and inlets.. Silicone just seems like a failure point in this car, unless there wrapped, the heat and chaffing will deminish there life. The oem locations though will fit much better.

I am talking about just outlets. I am using a stock location 2inch inlets, I saw VTT have a version listed for 535i, just wandering if it actual fits ok.

I would contact psp and ask if they fit. I just purchased for my Z4 and they are top notch. I also purchased mmp silicone and VT aluminum but quickly sent them back.

Ah, misinterpreted it, I asked VTT also,,Chris stated they do fit the e60 turbo set up. VRSP has the 335 specific ones.

Correction. My miswording. Rob has some great points on the necessity of the turbo outlets/ efficiency of the stock set. It is most likely a waste of money

On the VRSF website it states that only the 335i version is aluminum and that the 535i version is silicone.

Note: This item will not fit RHD cars without modification. These outlets will only fit on N54 models. While our 335i outlets are aluminum, the other applications are required to use our silicone solution until our inventory of aluminum outlets arrived.

I have back to back Dyno sheets showing a 12 whp and 52 wtq gain on stock turbos. Rob has theory. I have facts.

Okay thanks for sharing . In my experience On “upgraded” mmp stage 3 turbos. I noticed no significant improvement to my logs, or strip time slips. Also no improvements on draggy. For me and the goal of real world street performace. It wasn’t worth 2 sets of silicone busting twice, and the aluminum ones leaking from too many clamps, and fitment is so damn tight, hours of labor.

Most people aren't getting aluminum outlets for performance gain, but for improved reliability over silicone that can have issues with heat. Granted, I've not had an issue with my silicone outlets, but others have.

Hello, sorry for the delayed response, did not see this post. We have 100% confirmation our outlet fits a 535i perfectly, as we have installed quite a few in house, and sold many more. Our aluminum outlets are the best value on the market and the only outlet with real flow bench testing to back up flow gain claims. In stock ready to ship same day as ordered. Any specific questions [email protected]

My $.02:

1) If you are under ~525whp just save your $$ and run the OE pipe. At the ~+525whp ranges I'd only begin to consider. (NOTE: Based on LHD models, RHD is different conversation).
2) PSP Aluminum outlets seem to be very nice units, but can have some bead rolling issues due to some production limitations (seems to be more aesthetic and have no reports to cause any issues). Primary tubing a bit on the large size at 2" OD, but it is what it is. Ultimately the primary runs are very short so if it means the trade off in that merger excellence then I'll take it. Unfortunately no transitional adapters.
3) VRSF Aluminum outlets seem to be direct PSP ripoffs, thus are also very nice. Also unfortunately no transitional adapters.
4) VTT Aluminum outlets are not bad, but the merge has some room for improvement. Honestly I'm a fan of the tasteful 1.5" OD primary tubing, which is a reasonable match for the N54 style housings pushed hard (~1.5"-1.75" is ideal IMO). Sadly some significant shyster'esque marketing on the flow results against OEM Pipe. Also unfortunately no transitional adapters.
